A Wizard of Subversion

A. With all due respect, for quite a while this President hasn't appeared to be in full possession of his faculties, and for a few years his politico-military decisions have appeared to be quite ill-advised.

However, when it comes to subverting the legal system of a State over which he has no jurisdiction, he seems to be gifted with abilities that verge on the supernatural.

B. On May 30, 2024, right after Mr. Trump had been convicted on all counts by a unanimous Jury in a New York County Court (People of the State of New York v. Donald J. Trump), the Governor of the State of Texas, Greg Abbott, wrote:

This was a sham show trial. The Kangaroo Court will never stand on appeal. Americans deserve better than a sitting U.S. President weaponizing our justice system against a political opponent— all to win an election. We must FIRE Joe Biden in November.

C. A few facts from the County Courtroom:

1. If salary is any indication of the valuation of talent and experience, the elected New York County District Attorney has a gross income of $190,000 a year;

2. If salary is any indication of the valuation of talent and experience, the two lawyers for Mr. Trump, the Defendant, were reportedly paid together $5,000,000, of which a significant part is expected to be credited to their personal bank accounts;

3. 12 jurors were strenuously selected by both parties among a pool 300 to ensure a modicum of impartiality;

4. A unanimous Jury found the Defendant guilty on all 34 counts of the indictment.

D. Question:

How did the President operate and what was his secret to so successfully get his political opponent defeated on all counts by a legal system over which he has no jurisdiction whatsoever?

PS to the attention of Mr. Abbott: in which way could the "justice system" of the State of New York be ever mistaken for the justice system of the State of Texas?
